American Bully have more than one type

Have u ever heard of American bully because it’s a dog that u have to see its so big that your brain will get confuse because American bully have so many species and are so popular in United states and other countries. The American Bully is a recently formed companion dog breed, originally recognized in 2004 by the American Bully Kennel Club (ABKC). The American Bully is a small to large breed, which has so many categories that we will discuss including pocket bully, xl bully, Standard bully, classic bully and exotic bully (extreme bully). Other organizations, including the UKC, have one consistent size standard.

Where did American bully came from

The American bully dog is a close resemblance of Pit bull dog but the American bully is actually not a Pit bull. Even if they look like so muscular and powerful but they are so friendly and the reason is that because they were first bred to remove the aggressive traits which can be carried through Pit bull breeds because of this the bully breed is now a very loyal friendly and good companion and they do good in family homes specially with the children.

People thought that he is so muscular and is a Pit bull version but actually it is not a aggressive dog and this is the real truth.

The breed was initially recognized by the American Bully Kennel Club in 2004, and by the United Kennel Club in 2013.

Do they have different categories?

The American bully is a new dog breed and formed by breeding two species that are American Pit Bulls and American Staffordshire Terriers. They form various bulldog type breeds and they have categories that we are going to discuss below.

American bully categories

American bully have their categories and according to the study that I did they have five categories. So, I am going to tell all of them and they differ from each other in sizes. So, the different types of bully are,

1. American Bully XL or XL bully

Well, you are going to get crazy if you love a big dog and I am not talking about roman reigns haha. I am talking about the biggest dog in our category and its up to you some call him American bully XL and some call him XL Bully.

They are the giants They are the biggest dog in their breed the special things about them are they are so friendly their height and sizes determined by its adult height are below,

1. Male Size: 21 inches (51 cm) to 23 inches (57 cm).

2. Female Size: 19 inches (48 cm) to 22 inches (54 cm).

3. Lifespan: 10 to 12 years (when in good health).

So, what is American Bully XL and XXL

Well u might be wondering what is the XL and XXL if u have searched the other websites the only difference between them is their size the American bully XXL is even larger than American bully XL. Note: To achieve the bigger size breeders often add DNA of larger dogs like the BullMastiff.

As a result, it is difficult to achieve a XXL American bully that is a dog that has all details and features of the American bully breed.

2. Standard Bully

Well again the main difference is a size in these breeds. The Standard Bully was initially created in the 1990s as a show version for the American Pit Bull Terrier, as well as a companion dog.

• The standard bully is thick and have compact muscular body.
•  They have well defined jaws and a broad heavy head.
• Eyes can be of any color but except pinkish red and blue Color.
• They have short medium size muzzle that should not affect breathing and also the top line of muzzle form a straight line with the nose.
• They are muscular, skin is tight and strong shoulders.
• The standard bullies are good with the family members and if others are friendly toward him then he is also going to be friendly to them. It is great with children as it is very patient and not going to bit or not going to do snapping so easily.
• They have high tolerance toward pain they are not going to show you that they are injured so you have to take care of that and it can be that they could be enduring the pain in silence.

1. Male Size: 17 inches (43 cm) to 20 inches (51 cm).

2. Female Size: 16 inches (41 cm) to 19 inches (48 cm).

3. Lifespan: 10 to 20 years.

3.Amerian Classic bully

This type is a amendment version of standard bully and you can tell the difference by looking at their body muscle. The classic bully has less mass and lighter body frame as compared to the standard bully. It does show the resemblance of “Bully” traits. 

He was made to look more like the traditional American Staffordshire Terrier and/or the American Pit Bull Terrier. Apart from the body structure the American classic bully shows the same standards as the Standard bully that I told u in the standard bully part.

• They are compact and strong looking but is less muscular and less thick as compared to standard.
• They have large heads and a good jaw.
• Their eyes can be Oval or almond-shaped except blue or poorly pigmented as well as albino is not acceptable. Note: They might have bulging eyes that is a fault.
• They can do normal breathing.
• Have strong neck and shoulders.
• They are lighter less muscular with broad chest but they will still give u an expression of a strong and dominant dog.
• Lastly, they are friendly, they are social friendly also, it has high pain tolerance, have good strength and agility.

1.Male Size: 17 inches to 20 inches.

2.Female Size: 16 inches to 19 inches.

3.Lifespan: 10 to 12 years.

4.Exotic bully | what is exotic bully

Exotic are new breed of dog and it is a mix between an American bully and a Bulldog. So what make exotic bully an exotic. Note: This breed is like pocket Bully but pocket Bully is more active.

What makes them exotic?

They also known as exotic bulldog or exotic Pit bull dog. They have bulldog features on a tiny body that make them the compressed version of Bulldog, Pit Bull and American bully.

• There is no set Exotic Bully breed standard since these dogs don’t fall under any AKC or UKC dog breeds. However, various breeding clubs have developed the Exotic Bully standard and hold Exotic Bully dog shows regularly. 

• The Exotic Bully pedigree is pretty interesting. Their sizes are not official so I cannot tell u the exact size.

1.Male Size: No official size but can be 16.5 inches.

2.Female Size: No official size but can be 15.7 inches.

3.Lifespan: 10 to 12 years.

5. Pocket Bully

Last but not least pocket bully are the shortest of their kind and still is heavy, muscular like other bully types. This is not like other “pocket” or “toy” dog breeds. 

This breed is made for those who loves small dogs this type is great for average lifestyle person in terms of available time for socializing, grooming, exercising and playing with their dog.

• Pocket bully follows the same standard and but smaller in size and because of that they are loved by most.
• They are good for even beginners.
• They have short hair, only need regular brushing instead of extensive professional grooming.
• You also have to regularly do nail clipping and ear cleaning.

The size that u can expect are,

1.Male Size: 14 inches (36 cm) to 17 inches (43 cm).

2.Female Size: 13 inches (33 cm) to 16 inches (40 cm).

3.Lifespan: 10 to 12 years.
